What is the
Fraternal Order of Eagles and who are we?
The Fraternal Order of Eagles was founded in 1898 by a group of theater
owners in Seattle Wash. and has grown to be an international organization
that has given more than $100 million annually to national and local charities.
For more history about our organization, visit www.foe.com
The Fraternal Order of Eagles unites fraternally in the spirit of Liberty,
Truth, Justice, and Equality and for Home, for Country and for God to
make human life more desirable by lessening its ills. Our Motto, “People
Helping People” sums up the reasons why people join our organization
and participate in fund raising events because we’re here to help
make a difference.
Our club building is called Aerie, in reference to an ‘Eagles nest”,
or home and within that “home’, we have many types of membership.
There is the Aerie membership for the men, Auxiliary membership for the
ladies and the Jr. Eagles for members under 18 years of age. All members
are very helpful and important in all of our endeavors.
With members in more than 1,700 Aeries in the United States and Canada
you are never far from a friend. Our “Aerie” was started
in 1987 and has grown to over 700 Aerie, Auxiliary and Jr. members alone.
As you can see, we are truly a large family of brothers and sisters that
work hard to better our communities. In times of joy and in times of
sorrow your Eagle family is always there for you.
Whether your time is spent enjoying the social room activities, the
entertainment at a fund raising event, or just helping out, Eagle members
carry a sense of pride knowing that their time is well spent for a good
cause.
If you want to make a difference in your life and the lives of those
in your community, please see our “How to become a member” page.
